Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of qbosync (the "Service") at qbosync.ialae.com. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

1. What qbosync does

qbosync converts bank statement files (CSV, Excel, or PDF) into QuickBooks Web Connect (.QBO) files, and converts QBO/OFX files back into CSV or Excel spreadsheets. It is a file-conversion tool. It does not connect to your bank or to your QuickBooks account, and it does not provide accounting, tax, or financial advice.

You are responsible for reviewing every conversion. Always check the generated file, especially transactions extracted from PDF statements, against your original statement before importing it into QuickBooks or any accounting system. qbosync is a tool to save you time, not a substitute for your professional judgment.

2. Not affiliated with Intuit

qbosync is an independent service and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Intuit Inc. "QuickBooks", "QuickBooks Online", and related marks are trademarks of Intuit Inc. qbosync simply produces standard files that QuickBooks can import.

3. Your account

You must provide accurate information when creating an account and are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account. You must be at least 18 years old and authorized to use the Service on behalf of any business or client whose data you upload.

4. Acceptable use

Only upload statements and data that you own or are authorized to process.
Don't use the Service for any unlawful purpose, or to process data you have no right to handle.
Don't attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, overload, or gain unauthorized access to the Service.
Respect the upload limits (currently up to 5,000 rows / 10 MB per file).

5. Free tier, subscriptions, and billing

New accounts include one free conversion. Continued use requires a subscription, billed at $19 per month or $190 per year through PayPal via our billing provider, sensub. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time, and cancellation stops future renewals; except where required by law, payments already made are non-refundable. Prices may change on a going-forward basis with notice.

6. Third-party processing

To provide the Service, qbosync sends certain data to third-party processors, for example, PDF statement contents are processed by OpenAI to extract transactions. By using the Service you consent to this processing as described in our Privacy Policy.

7. Data and availability

Uploaded files and generated outputs are automatically deleted within 48 hours. You are responsible for downloading and retaining any files you need. We aim for reliable availability but do not guarantee the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and accuracy of conversions. You use the output at your own discretion and risk after reviewing it.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, qbosync and its operator will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from errors in converted files, reliance on output you did not verify, or inability to use the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

10. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that we reasonably believe are being used unlawfully.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the "Last updated" date above, and material changes will be communicated through the Service. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
