Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 13, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what information qbosync ("qbosync", "we", "us") collects when you use our bank-statement conversion service at qbosync.ialae.com (the "Service"), how we use it, and the choices you have. We've written it to describe what the Service actually does, not to bury it in boilerplate.

1. Information we collect

Account information

When you create an account, we store your email address and a securely hashed version of your password. If you sign in with Google, we store the Google account identifier and email address Google provides. We never receive or store your Google password.

Bank profiles you create

To generate QuickBooks-ready files, we store the bank profile details you enter: a profile name, the bank routing number and account number, the account type, and your saved column-mapping settings. This information persists so that repeat conversions don't require re-entering it.

Statement files you upload

When you convert a file, we temporarily process the statement you upload (CSV, Excel, or PDF) and the output file we generate. These files are automatically deleted within 48 hours (see Retention).

Payment information

Subscription payments are processed by PayPal through our billing provider, sensub. We do not receive or store your full card or PayPal credentials. We store only the subscription status needed to know whether your account is active.

Technical data

Like most websites, our servers process basic technical information such as IP address and request logs for security and reliable operation. We use a single essential session cookie to keep you logged in.

Analytics

With your consent, we use ScoutVibe (scoutvibe.com), a privacy-focused product-analytics provider, to understand how the Service is used so we can improve it. ScoutVibe uses device fingerprinting to distinguish visitors and measures pageviews, sessions, and conversion events (such as signing up or subscribing). IP addresses are hashed. We ask for your consent through a banner before any analytics tracking loads, and you can decline without affecting your use of the Service. See our Data Processing Agreement for ScoutVibe's role as a sub-processor.

2. How we use your information

3. Third parties who process data for us

We share the minimum data necessary with a small number of service providers:

We do not sell your personal information or your clients' financial data to anyone, and we do not use it for advertising.

4. Data retention

5. Security

All traffic to and from the Service is encrypted in transit using HTTPS. Passwords are stored only as salted hashes. While no online service can guarantee absolute security, we take reasonable measures to protect your information and minimize how long sensitive files are held.

6. Your choices and rights

You can update or delete your bank profiles at any time from within the app, and you can request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights over your personal data (such as access, correction, or deletion); contact us to exercise them.

7. Children

The Service is intended for businesses and professionals and is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be communicated through the Service.
